EKAA comes from the Sanskrit eka, meaning "one". We believe every woman is one of a kind, and what she wears should be too.
Born from a single sketch, made for a single woman
EKAA Design Studio began with a frustration many women know well: beautiful clothes that were never quite hers. The fit was a little off, the colour almost right, and the story belonged to someone else.
So we started differently. Instead of designing for a season, we design for a person. We listen first: to the occasion, the memories, the heirloom borrowed from a mother. Then we sketch, source and handcraft a piece around her.
That idea became our promise: Wear Your Whole Story. Every EKAA piece holds a little of yours, from the motif you picked to the extra inch you asked for.
The hands and heart behind EKAA
"I wanted every woman to feel what I felt the first time I wore something made just for me: seen, celebrated and completely herself."
Our founder grew up surrounded by fabric: a grandmother's trunk of Banarasi silks, afternoons at the local tailor, wedding seasons spent watching karigars bent over the adda. A degree in fashion design and years with established couture houses followed. Still, the same question kept coming back: why does luxury so rarely feel personal?
EKAA is her answer. She started at one sketching table with two artisans, and today leads a studio of designers and master craftsmen. She still personally sketches every bridal commission and meets every bride.
